Project introduction: China Resources Finance Shandong Dongying Energy Grid Storage Integration Demonstration Project is located in Kenli District, Dongying City, Shandong Province. The project has a planned energy storage capacity of 101MW/202MNh. The energy storage battery system consists of 100MW/200MMh iron phosphate carp batteries and 1M/2MMh flow batteries. The 101MW/202MWh energy storage system plans to build 80 sets of 1.25MW/2.5MNh battery units and 1 set of 1MW/2Mh flow battery units.
The iron phosphate carp battery part of this project is planned to have 40 sets of converter (PCS) units. Each PCS unit contains 4 630kW converters, corresponding to 1 2800kVA 35/0.4kV kilovolt-type transformer. The PCS units are connected in a “downward” manner. Every 8 2.5MW iron phosphate carp battery energy storage units form a 20MW energy storage group, of which 1 20MW energy storage group and 1MW liquid flow battery energy storage unit together form a 21MW energy storage group, which are connected to the 35kV switch cabinet of the booster station through cables. This phase of the project has a total of 5 circuits.
